 Why Continuing Education is so Important in the Tree Industry


At Tree Frog Arboriculture we pride ourselves in trying to learn as much about tree biology, and tree care as we possibly can. By becoming members of the International Society of Arboriculture as tree care professionals and by becoming members of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture we can ensure that we have great access to material that will help us in our quest for knowledge. 


By constantly studying the ever-changing information that we learn about our tree structure and health we can make sure that we are up to par on the latest information that will help us continue to provide a superior service and help to keep the trees that we service healthy for years to come. 

Focusing on the health of the tree is important to keep it healthy. A lot of companies are after the remove because they think it is a bigger payday for them, when in actuality if they keep the tree healthy for the rest of their lives and do right by the property owner, they will have a client for the rest of their lives. 



It is cost effective for the property owner. A healthy mature tree requires far less maintenance than an improperly cared for, or a new growing tree should get. By focusing on the health of the tree, not only does the property owner get the benefit of keeping a major part of the character of the property alive, but they also will be saving money over the course of their lives by not requiring so much constant maintenance.

Storm Finn 1/10/24 Tree Frog Arboriculture, Morgantown Tree Service

 The storm seemed to affect our home location a lot more than it did the Morgantown, or Cheat Lake areas. We did obtain a list of locations where there were possible trees that had come down. This storm proved to have some damage, but not near as much as our storms last year at this time. We did go around and look at some preventative trims and removals for new clients. I am happy to say that we were able to spend some extra time explaining the health and benefits of keeping trees, rather than removing them to multiple clients, and we were able to put some plans together for light trims and cabling to keep some mature trees in place, while making them much safer for the property owner and neighbors.  A Climbing Pic from a preventative tree last year:  www.wvtrees.com

TREE SERVICES NEAR CHEAT LAKE, WV

 When it comes to tree services, Cheat Lake, WV has a ton to choose from! It is important to check and make sure that they are a licensed tree service, are insured for work at height. WV requires one (1) million dollars of insurance coverage, although, for commercial and in general a company should strive to provide two (2) million in coverage as well as being bonded to their job.
